A certified organic gardener who has recently expanded into aquaponics, he has a flare for BBQ and Smokers creating for guests the best organic all-American meals featuring his own home-made organic BBQ sauces, ketchup and chutney.
Bonzai, Resident ARTiZEN/Sustainability Sensei
A veteran carpenter at 28 years, Bonzai was chosen as the founding resident ARTiZEN SCHOOL's workshop at Malibu Orchards. An expert builder of Tiny Homes whose been featured recently in two different TV shows, he's also a certified (and insured) Sustainable Leader who leads overnight wilderness camps in the Santa Monica Mountain State Preserve adjacent to Malibu Orchards where he offers guests Nature Yoga/Tai Chi and Guided Walks on a donation basis. He is also a founding member of the ARTiZEN SCHOOL dedicated to promoting the zen of sustainable arts especially home-building and permaculture.
Brett Levin, Resident ARTiZEN/Permaculture Sensei
An avid practitioner of permaculture and bio-dynamic gardening, Brett is a co-founder of the ARTiZEN SCHOOL dedicated to promoting the zen of sustainable arts especially home-building and permaculture. His projects here at Malibu Orchard include a aquaponic system that combines raising tilapia with growing organic vegetables, as well as organic chicken and fish food. For both Malibu Orchards and other clients, he's set up organic vegetable gardens, worm-farms and permaculture orchards and teaches those skills to others interested in the organic lifestyle of Malibu Orchards.
